The TotalScan ready transducer mount from BerleyPro is a durable plastic cover designed to house and protect the Lowrance TotalScan transducer. This mount fits perfectly into the existing Lowrance Ready cavity on the underside of Hobie kayaks. This product will protect the vulnerable and expensive transducer unit at all times without affecting the fishfinder’s performance and maintaining great side and down scan imaging with no noticeable degradation.
Description
The BerleyPro TotalScan transducer mount is designed to fit in the existing Lowrance Ready location on the base of Hobie kayaks for a simple, no-drill solution to mounting and protection. Australian-made from tough ABS plastic this kit comes with all the stainless steel fasteners required.
It’s important to note that side imaging capabilities of this transducer require it and its mount/protector to protrude further from the hull so as not to interfere with the image. The images in the gallery above show this transducer mount installed on a Pro Angler 14. Here the transducer sits approximately the same height as the twin hull section at the rear but the unit will extend below the hull on other Hobie models.
Pros of this transducer mount

- Easy installation
- Great Sidescan and Downscan image with no noticeable degradation
Cons of this transducer mount
- Sits below the hull on most Hobie kayaks (Outbacks etc) which can cause issues loading/unloading but can easily be overcome with skids or rethinking the loading
